What the free scan checks
Images and alt text
Images, icons and image links with no text alternative, so screen reader users hear nothing useful.
Forms and labels
Fields with no label, so people using a screen reader or voice control can't tell what to type.
Colour contrast
Text too faint against its background to read easily, especially on a phone outdoors.
Buttons and links
Buttons and links with no name, like a "Pay now" button that a screen reader just calls "button".
Page basics
A missing page title or language, and zoom blocked on phones, which stops people with low vision enlarging the text.
Plain-English fixes
Every issue comes with who it affects and how to fix it, ranked by severity so you know where to start.

The European Accessibility Act is now in force
Since June 2025, most businesses selling online to EU consumers must meet accessibility requirements, and enforcement is already under way across Europe. Ireland's rules include potential liability for company officers. Microenterprises with fewer than 10 staff and under €2M turnover are exempt from the service rules, but an accessible site still lets more people buy from you.
Scan your site free
A scan is a starting point
Automated tools typically catch only 30–40% of accessibility issues. They can't tell whether your image descriptions make sense, whether your checkout works with a keyboard, or what a screen reader user actually hears. Use the scan to find the quick wins, then try your key pages with a keyboard alone.
