Terms

Last updated: 29 September 2026

These terms apply to the free accessibility scans and the research published on this website by Tabwise, based in Cashel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@tabwise.ie.

Tabwise doesn’t currently sell audits, fixes or any other paid service.

Our scans and research are a technical check of websites against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). They are not legal advice. We explain how WCAG relates to the European Accessibility Act and Irish accessibility law in general terms, but if you need advice on your own legal obligations, speak to a solicitor.

No scan shows that a website complies with the law. Accessibility depends on how a website changes over time, on content a scan can’t see, and on how regulators and courts interpret the law.

Free scans

A free scan is an automated check of a sample of your website’s public pages. Automated tools find only some accessibility issues, so a scan is not an audit and doesn’t show whether your site meets WCAG. The scan is free.

Only ask us to scan a website you own or are responsible for.

Research

Our research reports publish aggregate figures from automated scans of business websites. We never name the websites we scanned. You’re welcome to quote the research if you credit and link to it.

Liability

The free scan and our research are provided as they are, free of charge. We take reasonable care to make them accurate, but we’re not liable for any loss arising from relying on them, including any fine, penalty or claim arising from your website’s accessibility.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
